Bicheno Tasmania

Bicheno is located on the East Coast and is one of my favourite spots it is a lovely little seaside town The walks around the coast are beautiful the colours of the stone with the Orange and the blue sea are really amazing. the town is mainly a fishing port and the fish and chips here were yummy. We stayed at the Bicheno Caravan Park lovely little park and dog friendly.

Offshore, the Governor Island Marine Reserve has some of the best diving spots in Australia, with kelp-covered reefs and spectacular sponge gardens. This water wonderland can also be experienced by kayak or glass-bottomed boat.

There’s plenty to do on dry land as well, with popular penguin tours and scenic walks to Rocking Rock, the blowhole and along the sandbar to Diamond Island Nature Reserve.

Bicheno is a two and a half hour drive (182 km) north-east of Hobart.
