Augusta to Perth WA 330klms

Augusta has breathtaking scenery and its here where the Indian and Southern oceans meet and the tallest lighthouse on the Australian mainland sits Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. There is also an old waterwheel which was built in 1895 to supply water for the builders of the lighthouse. The beaches here are beautiful and the bay is a really great place to go for a swim or a BBQ.

Then it was a drive through the Margaret River region well known for its wineries, food and shops a place that caught Elly’s eye was Cowaramup there are cow statues all over town Miss Elly was not quite sure what to do with them.

Our next stop was Bunbury we stayed at Binningup Beach Caravan Park  what a great place just a 200 mtr walk to the beach and only about 20 mins to Bunbury. There is a 360 degree view of the city from Mariston lookout over the bay and city a great spot is down at the Bunbury Waterfront theres restaurants, cafe, Taffys a candy and fudge shop, and a leadlight store and more. Nice place to sit and watch the activity on the water.

Then into Perth to catch up with my nephew Les and his fiance Bec who I will have the great pleasure of performing their wedding ceremony in April next year.
