Perth – Western Australia

Once again I find myself in Perth I really like it here its easy to get around theres lots to see and do and the weather is just right.

I really like Cottesloe Beach there is a great walk along the beach and dog friendly cafe’s where we can sit and have a coffee outside and watch the world go by. I caught up here with friend Angela and Jock who I had met earlier in the year at Daly Waters NT.

Right on the Swan River is the Bell Tower Miss Elly and I went here on a Saturday there were markets and a band playing so we sat on the grass and enjoyed the live music and a coffee. You can do a segway tour from here catch a ferry to Rottnest, Fremantle or the Swan Valley. Theres a pub called the Lucky Shag!!! and restaurants as well on the water really lovely spot.

Perth has some great buildings and it was nice just to wander around taking in the architecture and atmosphere there are lots of different shops, restaurants, unique coffee shops, Perth arena, Kings Park in the city is another great spot to take in the views over the city all in walking distance so  you can quite easily spend a few days wandering around in the main centre.

I’ve been spending time with family my nephew Les and his fiance Rebecca, Miss Elly and I have once again camped up on their front lawn. We will be back at the end of March to see them again but this time it will be for me to perform their wedding ceremony at Queens Park in April.

It’s now time to head off and start making my way back to the East Coast to spend Xmas with my family.
