Port Macquarie to Whyalla SA

We left our home at Port Macquarie on the first of March and headed south we had bikies waving as they went past us our first stop was Newcastle to see friends Melissa and Adam then to Nowra where we caught up with Chris and Lynette and the girls for a few days then it was onto Benalla 600klms away for a free camp at Benalla a great spot right on the river. The next day we drove through Euchca on the Murray River and Swan Hill another 600klms to Parilla in South Australia for another free camp spot. The scenery along the way is fantastic and the different smells as you pass through the country side it is really relaxing mind you I do drive with the music going and singing and dancing in my seat.

Next stop Adelaide where we caught up with Sarah my Goddaughter and Troy and then Mark and Sue who I met last year at Karumba. Once again we stayed at Semaphore Park Caravan Park right on the beach great spot. I had trouble with my laptop and because its what I use when I do my gigs I had to replace it. Oh well I did get 6 years out of the last one.

From Adelaide it was onto Whyalla with a stop at Port Pirie to get new tyres on the van a big thank you to Irvines Tyres and Tony for getting me back on the road with some new treads. At Whyalla I stayed with my old school friend Sharleen and her husband Barry we had not seen each other for 25 years. I had a gig at the Eyre Hotel on the Friday night.

So in 11 days we had travelled 2435 kms and caught up with many friends next stop is Venus Bay
