Burketown to King Ash Bay
Wednesday the 10th September we left Burketown heading for King Ash Bay in the Northern Territory. A trip of 550 klms again corrugated roads full of bull dust with river and creek crossings even got caught in the middle of a cattle muster on the Savannah Way. Stopped at Hells Gate Roadhouse to top up with fuel at $2.03 a litre then across the border into NT. Stopped at the Calvert River Crossing to take some photos and have lunch and Miss Elly even left a little extra water in the river look closely at the photo she’s even laughing. Arrived at King Ash Bay late afternoon found myself a nice little spot and set up the van thinking I was only here for a night ha ha ha until I met the locals but thats another story. Stay tuned its awesome.
